Chavonn Davidson-Smith is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 18 years of healthcare experience. She is the founder and clinical director of Sound Mind Psychiatry, a faith-centered telepsychiatry practice serving Georgia and Maryland, and the creator of the Sound Thoughts Blog, a digital space designed to inspire mental wellness through faith, reflection, and transparency.

Chavonn’s approach to mental health care is deeply holistic — integrating evidence-based medicine with compassion, spirituality, and self-awareness. She believes that healing requires both faith and clinical care working hand in hand, empowering individuals to not only function but truly flourish.

Throughout her career, she has worked across diverse clinical settings, helping adolescents and adults navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. Her mission is simple yet profound: to help others achieve a sound mind and a healed heart through accessible, stigma-free, faith-informed care.
